Watch this video from start to finish. Believe me, it’s worth it.

Microsoft’s Project Natal, a controller-free motion-sensing game created for Xbox 360 looks very cool, high-tech and the way of the future.
“During the keynote presentation yesterday, the audience was left open-mouthed by some of Natal’s capabilities. It’s ability to capture and track movement appeared effortless. In one demonstration, a drawing was “passed” through the television screen in to the game itself, and replicated precisely.”

But it kind of gives me the creeps at the same time. It reminds me of that new movie coming out, Gamer, and opening new doors for realistic violent games, possibly taking the next step?

new lost on tonight? last week was such a fake out.

i’m currently learning to play the guitar. i bought myself a dean acoustic in tempe, arizona in november and have been callousing and numbing my fingers since. i’m taking lessons at home in howell, nj now at sweet music academy. my mom and i have the same guitar teacher—we are so cool. any way, i have finally moved on from playing ode to joy and yankee doodle to actual songs. i’m currently figuring out how to strum some beatles. yay me.
speaking of guitars…and beatles….this is one of my favorite videos.

secret diary of a call girl is one of my new favorite shows. being a fan of the now-ended sex and the city, i’ve watched, in pain, as producers tried to fill its empty space and satisfy its loyal fan base with another show.

everything they tried crashed and burned…..they just did not have the zing and raw shock factor HBO originally created S&TC with.
then i was introduced to secret diary of a call girl. to be honest, i didn’t like the show’s concept at first. it just seemed kind of fake and crude. but i gave it a shot. i am in love.
here is an intro to the first episode. it’s quick, clever, quirky, and despite her obvious flaws, the main character, hannah (aka belle) is easy to relate to. another carrie bradshaw in the making? this time, HBO is not to thank. it’s aired on Showtime, and currently has two seasons available (all of which i watched in about two weeks). i watch a lot of shows online, including this one, at this site. oh thank you 21st century.
the show is based on the real-life blog of a retired london call girl and her daily adventures on the job and maintaining a secret double-life. i like the blog, titled belle de jour, but i think with all the popularity and success it’s obviously made, it could use somewhat of a blog makeover. there’s a lot of speculation over whether “belle’s” blog and life story are fact or fiction. either way, it’s good stuff.
and just to add a little, the main character is played by british actress and pop singer billie piper. mostly everyone on the other side of the pond is unaware of her existence. but as i’ve mentioned before, i’m an uber-geek (especially all things sci-fi), so of course i watch doctor who and was heartbroken when the doctor missed his chance to tell rose he loved her before he said goodbye forever. (rose, the doctor’s universe and time-traveling earth companion is played by billie).
billie in doctor who:

and here is billie as belle in her new show:

i read she is currently home with a new baby, which is why i have been deprived of new episodes of secret diary of a london call girl! but wiki sources tell me she began filming the third season at the beginning of 2009, so hopefully i see some new belle de jour soon.
